UX Researcher / Senior Design Project Lead at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW)

December 1, 2025 - December 1, 2025

Redesigned CHW's Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) Guidelines by conducting secondary and primary research and applying UX design principles to reduce practitioner cognitive load, as demonstrated by improved System Usability Score (SUS). Led data collection (2 in-person focus groups with SMEs, 7 bi-weekly virtual meetings with SMEs) and SUS testing. Created an 8-page DKA guideline using Miller's Law, CRAP/Gestalt principles, pagination, UX writing techniques, and iconography. Redesigned DKA guidelines, resulting in a 10.36-point increase in SUS scores and a 7.75-point reduction in standard deviation. Presented the redesigned DKA guideline to stakeholders at CHW in a 15-minute presentation and integrated the redesigned DKA guidelines into CHW’s DKA treatment framework.

UX Designer at Self-Directed Project (Steam Mobile App Redesign)

Steam Mobile Application Redesign: Developed a Figma prototype mobile application of the Steam Interface that improves the UX design of the application. Gathered and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data by conducting user research via 3 usability tests, reviewing Google Play reviews, and 2 in-person interviews. Implemented Steam’s brand manual and UX elements; redesigned 12 application pages focusing on products displayed in the Wishlist; improved the UX’s feedback and navigation when users log in, check out, add items to their Wishlist, and navigate the store. Applied User-Centered Design principles to reduce users' cognitive load.

MSOE Chatbot Redesign: Collaborated with the Director of Enrollment Marketing & Events, the Director of Digital Marketing, and the MSOE marketing department to produce a chatbot prototype in VoiceFlow software for prospective MSOE students. Conducted preliminary market research on 3 competitors' chatbots to identify features to implement. Conducted 3 in-person interviews and 3 moderated usability tests with the primary user demographic. Created user personas, journey maps, test scripts, and conversation flows in Figma. Presented a project summary with a 15-minute live prototype demo to project stakeholders. The fey features of the prototype, like multilingual support, were integrated into MSOE’s official Chatbot. Received 98% on the project.

Designer at MSOE Viet Tower Mural Project

MSOE Mural Project: Designed a mural for MSOE’s Viet Tower in collaboration with the Create, ATC, and Innovent institutions. Conducted field research on street art to find inspiration for how to represent each institute's values and experiential learning. Created digital assets using Photoshop, Illustrator, and reference imagery, applied Gestalt, CRAP, and typography principles. Presented final design to stakeholders; selected as the winning mural and permanently installed at Viet Tower.
