Led the design and implementation of Visibility Air Tracking Service (VATS), a Java/SpringBoot microservice powering an end-to-end air cargo milestone-tracking pipeline. The service ingests data from multiple carriers (scrapers, APIs), processes 50K+ daily milestone events via Kafka/Kinesis, and publishes real-time updates to downstream systems through gRPC to drive cargo status visibility and automated freight-forwarding work items. Architected the VATS Decision Engine with data-quality verification and conflict-resolution rules to handle transshipments, fuel stops, cargo splits, and other blocking scenarios. Implemented layered checks for milestone sanity, route/flight consistency, and multi-source conflict resolution; added a failure-classification mechanism with optional notification and manual intervention via FFA Work Items.
