I am Octavio Maya Rocha, a filmmaker and creative executive with over 33 years of international experience in film, media, and studio-level production. I have consistently driven innovation and technology, writing, producing, photographing, and directing projects that maximize production value regardless of budget constraints, a track record that has made me a strategic and efficient studio leader. As founder of Euphoria Films México, I have directed 27 award-winning short films screened at international festivals. Notable works include El Último Aliento, starring Rodrigo Murray, and Un Balón, featuring Héctor Bonilla—selected at Sport Film Liberec (the Oscars of sports films), winner of the Spirit of Sport Award at the Paris 2024 Olympic Film Festival, and nominated for Best Short Film at the Diosas de Plata Awards. I was among the first filmmakers worldwide to produce 17 short films remotely during the global lockdown, collaborating with international actors such as Stephanie Atala and artists like Mark Kostabi in the series The Call 20/20, exploring the viruses and vaccines. I also maintain Mexico’s largest vertical-film portfolio and have independently distributed major documentary and feature works.
