In addition to directing and producing on-stage productions for live theatre, and acting in theatre productions myself, I have served on various committees and as a member of the Board of Directors for community little theatre companies in Sarnia and London, Ontario, in addition to conducting drama workshops, library writing workshops, arts and crafts workshops, performing speaking engagements, and organizing live event daytrips, travel engagements and accommodations. I have also performed as a vocalist at large and more intimate jazz festivals and performances, run lighting boards for theatre productions, assisted with sound production for live theatre, worked in costume, wardrobe and set design and props, and worked as a stage manager, as well as front of house, theatre ushering, ticket sales, and various fundraising activities in conjunction with all of the above, in addition to performing for charity events. Additionally, I hosted my own weekend radio show on CFBU Radio Brock (Brock University) on which I featured an eclectic mix of alternative and emerging musical artists in various genres, as well as interviewing and hosting guests and discussing topical, current, or simply vital issues of interest. I also headed up my own four member jazz group, playing smaller venues and festivals, and also a larger R& B group, which featured guest sax players, three guitarists, percussionists, keyboardists, and others, as available. I have also done studio jazz vocalist session work, and helped design radio commercial production pieces. I am a published author (Poems from Butterscotch Cottage, Rock Woman at Rest) whose work also features my own watercolour painting and pen and ink illustrative artwork.
