Biography I was born in Lancashire in 1978. In 1997 I moved to London to study a BA in Fine Art at the Slade School of Art, followed by a Post Graduate DIploma at the Royal Academy Schools, graduating in 2004. Since then, I have exhibited widely in Britain and abroad and my work is included in a number of important collections. I have also been hired to complete a number of exclusive commissions. I am foremost a figurative painter: working in oils, creating highly detailed paintings which find their origins in intensely worked collages. My work investigates echoes within cultural histories, referencing, reconfiguring and re-presenting our visual and literary past to create seamlessly crafted and timeless new fictions.
