Hi! I’m Mark Guthrie. A Fine Arts degree majoring in Drawing and a Visual Arts degree majoring in Illustration led to working in the UK as a Graphic Artist with ITV Channel 4 and then in animation with Walt Disney Animation Australia in Sydney. Most 2D sequels were made in Sydney, so my film credits include virtually every Disney film that has a 2 or 3 in its title. During my time with Disney I continued to work as a freelance Illustrator/Cartoonist, eventually leaving Disney to pursue my career (passion) on a full-time basis; therefore children's book illustration and newspaper/magazine illustration and cartooning are my mainstay in keeping me in 2B pencils.
