This bilingual pediatric simulation module was developed for nursing students preparing for clinical placement. It walks learners through a realistic clinical interaction in which a preschool-aged child receives a vaccination. The course focuses on trauma-informed communication, procedural accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and therapeutic rapport. Visual scenarios, voice narration, and embedded knowledge checks allow students to observe, reflect, and apply best practices.

This self-paced faculty development module was designed in Articulate Rise to support instructors transitioning to online teaching environments. It introduces essential frameworks such as the Community of Inquiry (CoI) and offers practical strategies for building presence, facilitating engagement, and delivering assessments in asynchronous settings. Throughout the module, structured examples, interactive activities, and downloadable planning templates guide users through the instructional design process for remote learning.

The course is grounded in adult learning theory and accessible design principles. I developed user personas representing diverse faculty digital literacy levels and created interactive flows that aligned with their needs. I also employed modular chunking, plain language, and visual consistency to reduce cognitive load. This project demonstrates my ability to scaffold complex pedagogical content into actionable, inclusive learning pathways.
