Stewart Nelsen is a North Carolina based filmmaker. Beginning in Los Angeles, he worked in the sound department of all the major studios earning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound in the process. In tandem with his work as a post sound professional, he pursued indie productions of his own and in collaboration with others. Moving from 16mm camera work to digital video, Stewart has worked consistently behind the camera as well as in the editing suite. HIs key involvement in films/videos ranges from Bollywood features to PBS and Showtime documentaries, narrative films, music videos, audio recording mixing and mastering.
