I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I started piano, guitar, and drums and quickly moved into live shows and home studio work. After high school I headed to Los Angeles to pursue music. I studied at the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood and built a career as a professional musician, performing with Infectious Grooves, Alanis Morissette, Eric Burdon, Esai Morales, Ryan Starr, and Stevie Wonder’s band, among others. My styles span jazz, blues, pop, rock, funk, soul, and Latin.
