Ángel de la Llave, born in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, in 1978, is a composer, musician, and sound designer. His work unfolds between contemporary music, electronic creation, and performance art, exploring the sensory and symbolic power of sound as a living material.
Trained in cello, viola da gamba, composition, sound design and music production, Ángel merges classical instrumental tradition with contemporary technological tools. His body of work encompasses composition for theatre, sound installations, and interdisciplinary projects, always with meticulous attention to acoustic detail and the poetics of sound.
He has designed the sound for Tequila Patrón “El Cielo” presentation in Ibiza (2023), composed the music for installations such as LLUM, an interactive light tunnel installed in Palma de Mallorca, and Vita et Mors, presented at Art Basel Miami (2021), and collaborated with Teatro Kamikaze on La Voluntad de Creer, winner of the Premio Max Award (2023). His sound installation Hazien Soinuak, which transforms environmental data and the electrical impulses of plants into music, and his composition and performance of the soundtrack for The Tower of Hope, a work by Lebanese artist Lara Baladi awarded at the Cairo Biennale (2008), reflect his deep interest in the dialogue between art, technology, science, and society.
