Hi, I’m Ellie, an aspiring Animator/ video editor. I have successfully achieved my degree in Animation at Leeds Arts University, and I am now looking to secure a role within the Animation industry I chose a degree in animation as I have always been very artistic and wanted a career path that combines my artistic skills with an ability to work in the modern world. Animation allows me to do just that. My degree has given me a good grounding across the animation spectrum including skills and expertise in the following. 2D Animation, Storyboarding, creating animatics, Stop-motion, puppets, the ability to confidently use software such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Projects in University have allowed me to engage with the whole life cycle from concept through to final product. I also took on the role of director and producer in the final project which has given me experience in managing a team. I’m a naturally curious and enthusiastic individual and I am fully prepared to do whatever it takes to get myself up to speed in an employment setting, including undertaking any amount of out of hours self-study to accelerate my ability to contribute to the team. I have a strong work ethic; I supported myself financially throughout my studies in customer-facing roles. I am easy around other people and enjoy working as part of a team. I have always been extremely interested in Art and have visited many galleries including: Leeds Art Gallery, The Liverpool Walker Art and Tate Galleries and the London Tate Modern and Tate Britain Galleries.
