Hired as a cashier but spent the first months (and last two weeks) working as a cashier while occasionally restocking shelves and returning unpurchased items to the shelf. Ran the lottery machine for customers, handled returns and refunds (when applicable), helped customers fill out ShopRite account applications, took notes on hourly sales at the customer service desk, answered and redirected phone calls to the relevant department/manager, and collected and logged tills at the end of the night.
