I am Mohamed Hosny Yassin, a filmmaker and director with over ten years of experience guiding projects from concept to screen. My work spans fiction and documentary cinema, commercial and awareness advertising, music videos, and TV shows. Many of my projects have earned festival selections and awards, reflecting my commitment to storytelling with a strong cinematic identity and high production standards. Born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I began studying Chemistry at Damietta University and graduated with honors in 2014. I then pursued cinema through Film Editing at the Higher Institute of Cinema, Academy of Arts in Cairo, graduating with honors in 2020. In 2019 I founded MHY Films in Cairo, delivering a wide range of cinematic and commercial projects, and in 2024 I expanded internationally with a second branch in Dubai. I am an active member of the Egyptian Cinema Syndicate and continually craft visually compelling, story-driven content. My body of work includes directing, producing, DOP, and editing for documentaries and short fiction, with multiple festival awards and recognitions.
