⚕⚕ At first, I thought I wanted to be a doctor. I took AP Biology in high school and fell in love with science, but by the time I was accepted to medical school I had teased out what truly attracted me to the medical field — the chance to advocate for the wellbeing of others. As it turns out, there are many ways to do that professionally Ultimately, I decided to be proud of my acceptance into medical school while also side -stepping the amazing opportunity. I went on to complete my PhD in Education instead — why? Because in this digital world we are all learning all the time! Sometimes our learning experiences are sub -par, and it becomes necessary to ask for better materials/guidance. I\'ve noticed most people don\'t like to rock the boat, but I love it. My training and personality position me to champion those around me, making me a great advocate for my clients. If we\'re being honest, spending 4⚕⚕0⚕⚕ years at the same company before retiring just isn’t an option for most of us. This means no matter where I work the majority of those around me will be on a journey to learn new skills and information. I can now help with that! In addition to my formal education, my love for psychometrics and introspection means I k now a lot about myself and others. I am proud of the EQ skills I have developed after more than 3,000 one - on -one meetings with students and clients over my work history. Being an ISTP 8w7 also means I welcome the hard conversations most professionals shy away from in the workplace. I am honest and direct, decisive under pressure, and show up with a positive, can -do attitude. I continuously seek ways to make things run more efficiently and have been known to pursue cross -training opportunities so I can jump in and get my hands dirty when an “all hands on deck” moment strikes. Boldly bringing order to a moment of chaotic crisis is my happy place.
