I am Shivani Patel, an architect driven by the pursuit of creating spaces that seamlessly blend functionality with an immersive and meaningful user experience. I graduated from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, in 2021, where I developed a deep understanding of architecture through philosophy, art, construction, society, culture, and engineering. My academic journey nurtured my ability to think critically, analyze design challenges, and create solutions that embody timelessness while addressing social and cultural contexts. Throughout 5 years of my academics, I was very inquisitive about the process of architectural manifestation, from a building being an abstract concept or an idea to its physical manifestation. This curiosity was reflected in my final year architectural research thesis. During my eighth semester, I studied as an exchange student at Unitec in Auckland, where I gained exposure to New Zealand’s unique architectural landscape, emphasizing sustainability and context-driven design. After graduating, I worked as an Architectural Designer at Nisharg Rachna in Bharuch, where I designed residential projects while gaining insights into market demands and client expectations. In December 2022, I moved to Canada to pursue post-graduation in BIM and project management. This improved my understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration, scope management, and project management with regards to the Canadian context. My strength lies in analyzing, abstracting, conceptualizing, and architectural designing. I am a critical thinker who always leans towards finding design solutions more than romanticizing the form.
