Margaux Corda (b. Lausanne, Switzerland) is a photographer and art director working between Paris and Lausanne. She graduated from ECAL (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne) with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, specializing in photography.
Her work, both personal and commissioned, is guided by a single visual and conceptual thread. Margaux’s practice explores themes of identity, beauty, and heritage, and how these notions are shaped and perceived within Western society. As a queer artist, she examines contemporary gender symbols and representations, questioning the structures that define and sometimes constrain them.
Her images also investigate the historical, emotional, and familial legacies we inherit. Through her projects, Margaux seeks to deconstruct these layers of memory and expectation in order to better understand them, and ultimately reclaim them on her own terms. For her, these themes are deeply interconnected; each project becomes a space where they meet, overlap, and evolve through the same cohesive photographic language.
