I'm a writer, producer, and director whose work spans studio film, television, and independent cinema. After studying at Howard University and becoming a USC Writing Program fellow, I began my professional career in Hollywood, working my way up through the industry while developing my own original material. My breakout came when I was hired to rewrite The Perfect Match for Lionsgate, and in 2016 I co-founded the writing and producing collective Murder Ink alongside Hudson Obayuwana and Jana Savage — a partnership that has since developed and produced projects across multiple studios and platforms. Through Murder Ink, we wrote and executive produced #RealityHigh, one of Netflix's earliest original features and a project widely credited with helping launch the platform's young adult film slate, and most recently wrote Praise This for Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions. I also wrote Cousin Itt, an animated feature for Amazon/MGM. Across my career I've sold 14 feature screenplays and television projects and have developed material with every major studio and streaming platform.
