Nina Rath was born in Graz, Austria, in 1989. After graduating from high school in 2007, she studied Digital Media and Television at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Austria. She graduated with honors in 2010 and received a performance grant from the university for her first feature-length documentary film. After completing her bachelor's degree, she traveled through Australia for a year and returned to Austria in 2011. She then began working in the Austrian film and media industry, producing, directing, and editing screen content for television, corporate clients, international art institutions, and government agencies. Since 2015, she has worked with the International Peace Foundation and was responsible for the documentation in North Korea, Indonesia, and Laos as part of the "Bridges – Dialogues for a Culture of Peace" event series. Since 2016, she has been the personal assistant to HSH Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein, Chair of the Advisory Board of the International Peace Foundation. In 2016, she received the Platinum Award at the Mindfield Film Festival in Los Angeles for her documentary "Treetime Stories." From 2017 to 2018, she completed a Master of Screen Production at Griffith Film School in Brisbane, Australia. In 2018, she submitted her master's thesis on virtual reality (VR) in conjunction with human-frequency variability (HRV). She graduated with distinction and received an excellence scholarship from Griffith University. Her films have been screened at international film festivals worldwide. She currently works with various formats and genres, including documentary, experimental film, and short poetry. Her passion is to elevate, inspire, and explore human consciousness through multimedia art and film.
