I am David W. Pyke, an Australian composer of orchestral and chamber music with a passion for building musical architectures. My journey began playing the cornet in high school, and I developed my craft through church music ensembles, jazz groups, and professional trumpet work in Brisbane's world music scenes. After completing a Bachelor of Education and teaching across London and the United Arab Emirates, I found time to experiment with orchestration, culminating in major works such as Ballet of the Matryoshka Dolls and Symphony No. 4 (The Great Barrier Reef). I continue to collaborate with international artists and choreographers and to pursue new creative horizons.…I am David W.
