I am a recent graduate of Engineering Science (Machine Intelligence) at the University of Toronto. I enjoy building end-to-end AI and data-driven systems that are secure, scalable, and focused on user-facing experiences. My work combines model development, retrieval, and backend pipelines to connect structured profiles, search, and intuitive interfaces. I value pragmatic experimentation, systematic analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into reliable platforms.

Work Experience

AI / Machine Learning Intern at ZigZag Technologies Inc.
October 1, 2025 - Present
Built an end-to-end speech-to-text alignment system using Whisper, analyzing latency and synchronization across pipeline stages. Designed a UI for visualizing alignment results to support debugging and inspection of model outputs. Developed modular pipeline components to improve system flexibility and scalability for experimentation. Conducted systematic error and performance analysis to improve system robustness and efficiency.
Packaging R&D Co-op at Mondelēz International
July 1, 2023 - August 1, 2024
Managed product and packaging data in SAP and reviewed technical and artwork documentation. Collected, analyzed, and synthesized data from 26 packaging trials to optimize design performance. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to conduct projects such as club pack development, rightsizing and reformulation and supported production in translating design changes into scalable manufacturing constraints.
Therapist Selection Usability Study at University of Toronto – Thesis Project
September 1, 2024 - May 1, 2025
Designed a Figma-based interactive prototype for a therapist selection website, focusing on intuitive user flows. Built a data analysis pipeline using NLP and clustering to process and structure unstructured user feedback. Extracted usability patterns from user interaction data to identify system inefficiencies and design bottlenecks. Translated qualitative feedback into structured insights to improve interface design and user experience.
Raft-based Key-Value Store at Distributed Systems Course Project
January 1, 2025 - May 1, 2025
Implemented a distributed key-value store in Go using the Raft consensus algorithm. Designed state management and fault-tolerant mechanisms, analyzing system behavior under failure scenarios. Ensured system consistency and reliability under distributed conditions through testing and debugging.
Manhole Detection in Site Plans at Capstone Design Project
September 1, 2024 - December 1, 2024
Developed an AI model combining CNN, FPN, and RNN for object detection and text recognition in site plans. Applied PaddleOCR on preprocessed images to extract and structure textual information. Processed large image inputs and evaluated trade-offs between model complexity and inference performance. Achieved 91% accuracy in detecting manholes in test site plans.
Database Query Engine at Database Course Project
January 1, 2024 - April 1, 2024
Built a simplified relational database query engine using SQL and relational algebra. Gained practical experience with ACID transactions, normalization, and schema design.
