Currently, I am a prize-winning composer and pianist from China who majors in Film and Media Scoring at Berklee College of Music. In my work, I am interested in storytelling in a delicate way through the use of chamber orchestration and subtle textural sound design.
I have a particular passion for intimate stories exploring topics such as emotional distance, memories, and complicated relations between people. While working on musical compositions, I am more concerned about nuance rather than explicit emotion; I always try to find an effective way to express characters’ thoughts and feelings through music.
During my studies at Berklee, one of my projects involved rescoring of the movie called Strangers (dir. Eric D. Howell). It was a challenging but very interesting task which made me more interested in writing music for psychologically complicated films since I discovered the potential of creating an emotional layer.
In 2025, I gained invaluable experience as a participant of the studio led by composer Linke Xue working on scoring the Chinese historical movie Pull Strings. Moreover, I have developed many other projects involving creating music for films and various media.
I have a good background in orchestration and digital production, and I am proficient in creating high-quality mockups and developing musical ideas together with directors.
