I’m Emily Whitfield-Wicks, a freelance editorial, PR and commercial photographer based in London. I started my photography career after earning a Higher National Diploma in Editorial and Advertising Photography in 1991 and have worked across magazines, newspapers, and books, as well as in commercial and portrait work. My journey has taken me from a studio in Angel, London, to the decks of cruise ships, the Western Morning News in the Southwest, and beyond, always chasing stories and striking imagery.
Since 2012 I’ve been self-employed, continuing to publish locally and nationally; I’ve travelled to Nepal for ShelterBox after the 2015 earthquake, photographed for a book on Bombay, and covered the Isles of Scilly for Cornwall Life Magazine and Tresco Abbey Gardens. I also contributed to the Queen Elizabeth II memorial competition in London, capturing views from Buckingham Palace to inspire architects.
