In my previous position I held with USAID/Philippines, as the Social Media Manager/Strategist and Website Manager, I oversee and update social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, plan content for officers and high-level events, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and impactful storytelling. With the experience I had for over ten years in social medial application, strategy, and management, USAID's social media platforms, most specially Facebook, has seen consistent increase in its Page followers, engagements, and reach. I led the development of USAID/Philippines Social Media Strategy, which became a model for the Regional Mission in Asia and USAID/Mongolia, and introduced a submission tracking system that strengthened coordination with implementing partners. My hands-on experience managing the Missions’ websites and their social media platforms, coupled with my content creation skills—including photography, videography, and multimedia optimization—will definitely help the organization achieve its goals, and vision and mission. Also, my immersion in working with diverse people, ethnicities, and backgrounds around the globe, working towards a common goal and aspiration, catering to different levels of audience will definitely add substance to this ideal and promising opportunity. My coordination with USAID’s Legislative and Public Affairs bureau of the Agency, USAID/Philippines’ Development Outreach and Communications team, and the U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section has equipped me with the skills to navigate cross-sector partnerships and maintain brand consistency across platforms. Moreover, I’ve trained numerous partners on digital strategy and compliance, ensuring adherence to agency guidelines while fostering innovation and responsiveness in communication and bringing out the needed goals of helping USAID’s beneficiaries.
