Hi there! I’m Edmund K. Swort, a dedicated elementary educator with over two decades of experience teaching grades 1 and 2. I design and differentiate lessons, assess progress with data-driven RTI, and lead Readers’ Workshop and Writer’s Workshop using Teachers College resources. I also introduced mindfulness in my classroom to support SEL and student well-being.
I love creating engaging, research-based lessons and materials—like my Word Rings foundational word list—and collaborating with colleagues to foster a growth-minded, reflective classroom where every student can thrive.
