I'm Catherine George Weilein, a designer, writer, and researcher exploring how architecture shapes social and political life. My work spans academia, practice, and public-facing writing and design—from a Master of Science in Critical, Curatorial, & Conceptual Practices in Architecture at Columbia, to coordinating research and innovation at Stantec, to co-designing and project managing a biennial installation, to co-founding a GSAPP writing center and editing scholarly texts. I enjoy cross-disciplinary collaboration across education, design, and public discourse, and I relish turning archives into accessible stories, building GIS-enabled platforms for site-specific designs, and guiding research projects from inception to publication. I aim to make complex ideas legible and collaborative, whether through books, exhibitions, or editorial projects.
