Hi, I’m Vasily Goncharov, better known as Vasya Oblomov. I’m a musician, artist, poet, composer, and producer who started recording my first song at 15 and quickly found a local radio audience. In 2002 I signed my first contract with a major Russian label and, with my band, released two rock albums in 2004 and 2008. I’ve spent years producing projects for the Russian and CIS market and organizing music festivals, and in 2010 I launched the Vasya Oblomov project which gained wide fame on YouTube. Since then I’ve released six studio albums that topped digital charts, written music for films and TV, acted in minor film roles, directed most of my videos, and performed around the world. My YouTube channel has hundreds of millions of views, and in 2022 I moved to the United States on an EB1 visa to continue my independent career with a large team of musicians.
