I am Ruth S. Kettle-Frisby, an Engagement Officer, writer and disability-inclusive arts/theatre event producer who campaigns for environmental and disability justice. I am driven by making the arts and public policy more inclusive, and I regularly write reviews, articles and campaign materials to elevate marginalised voices. I also collaborate with charities, unions and community groups to push for systemic change, particularly in health, education and environmental equity.
As a parent of a profoundly disabled daughter, I have a personal stake in socio-economic inequities affecting children and caregivers. I have led high-profile campaigns (including Zane’s Law and landfill remediation efforts), spoken at conferences and Parliament, and built cross-sector partnerships to advance disability rights, health justice and inclusive arts. I am deeply committed to applications of care-based philosophy in policy and practice, and I actively seek opportunities to amplify the voices of children with underlying health conditions and disabilities through creative and civic work.
