JIRINOVESKYE by Pedro Cunha

The video, titled “Nominated short film - JIRINOVESKYE Trailer,” is a short teaser or sequence from a film directed by Pedro Cunha.

It takes place in a dense, dark forest setting. A woman in a white dress (played by Cátia Campos) sits amidst the greenery holding a white flower while a sniper in camouflage gear (played by Pedro Cunha) lies next to her, looking through his rifle scope. At one point, she uses a small device, looking through it like a monocular.

The tense silence is broken when she says in Portuguese, “Anda lá, acorda” (“Come on, wake up”) to the sniper, followed by a more urgent shout of “Acorda!” (“Wake up!”), before the trailer cuts to black and displays the film’s credits.
