Project Intern – BLDC Motor Control Systems at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)

Built an end-to-end machine learning pipeline in Python (data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation) for torque prediction in BLDC motor control systems. Trained a Random Forest regression model achieving RMSE of 0.31 Nm and R2 score of 0.93, validated against IEEE benchmarks. Designed and simulated PI/PID controllers in MATLAB/Simulink under varying load and torque conditions, reducing torque ripple and improving response time versus traditional methods. Proposed a hybrid ML–PID control architecture for real-time deployment and presented findings to domain experts.
