Software Engineer at OpenTable

Built full-stack features for OpenTable’s private dining microapp: enabling restaurants to onboard private dining venues, manage events, convert event bookings into reservations, and accept payments. Re-architected a self-service onboarding platform and automated setup wizard for the Private Dining vertical, reducing manual intervention and improving time-to-live for new restaurant partners by 50%. Developed and maintained shared UI primitives in OpenTable’s React component library, powering multiple micro-applications across Guest Center. Led migration of an internal logging library from JavaScript to TypeScript, achieving full type safety and 100% test coverage, then deployed it across all Node.js BFF services in the monorepo. Migrated a legacy restaurant reporting microapp to TypeScript, increasing TypeScript coverage by 55%. Drove adoption of RTK Query for server state management and introduced Vite and Vitest as team build and testing standards.

Founding frontend engineer for GAPO, a Vietnamese social network serving 3M+ users at the time of writing. Architected and built the React/TypeScript/Redux frontend from the ground up, including the Webpack build pipeline and Jenkins CI/CD, taking the product from zero to a shipped SPA. Delivered core social features end-to-end: News Feed, Notifications, Messaging, Profiles, Groups, and seasonal features, collaborating closely with designers for pixel-perfect, responsive output. Helped interview and onboard two frontend engineers and one frontend tech lead, and co-founded a monthly frontend knowledge-sharing sync to build early team culture and best practices.
