I’m a software engineer based in Vancouver, BC, building production systems that blend backend development, automation, and AI-powered workflows. I’m currently working on an application engineering role where I develop FastAPI services and LLM pipelines that process high volumes of incoming messages, validate outputs with engineer review loops, and keep integrations reliable at scale. Previously, I interned at Revyl AI where I focused on automated testing, CI/CD, and real-time analytics to reduce latency and catch regressions early. I also build and ship full-stack web applications in contract work, and I’m developing a real-time smart chess platform with low-latency multiplayer, Redis-backed game state, and a Stockfish analysis service—always aiming for fast performance, robust reliability, and clean system design.

Work Experience

Application Engineer at Critical Environmental Technologies
October 1, 2025 - Present
Built an LLM pipeline that parses ~150 emails/day into Business Central quotes for engineer validation, eliminating a dedicated quote-processing role. Improved mapping quality to 97% across 1,800 samples using a two-stage regex + LLM approach with low-confidence flagging for engineer review. Reduced email triage wait time from 5–15 minutes to 1–2 seconds by creating a complexity classifier that routes simple requests to the LLM and escalates complex ones to engineers. Implemented a FastAPI pipeline that persists front events to Azure SQL to achieve 99.99% webhook reliability during 250x traffic bursts (112 events/min) with live Power BI reporting. Onboarded and mentored an intern through code reviews and guidance on contributions to the codebase.
Software Development Intern at Revyl AI (YC F24)
May 1, 2024 - April 1, 2025
Developed automated testing and CI/CD workflows on AWS to prevent regressions. Created a scheduled AWS testing system using EventBridge, Lambda, and CloudWatch to run 34 test flows (280 tests) with dead-letter retries for failures. Improved dashboard performance by replacing polling with Supabase Realtime subscriptions for live cross-account analytics, reducing latency by 800ms. Built a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline running dogfood tests on physical devices for every pull request to catch platform regressions before merge. Tech includes Python, FastAPI, AWS (Lambda, EventBridge, S3), Supabase, and GitHub Actions.

Shipped three production web applications using React/Next.js and FastAPI, including JWT authentication, serverless AWS Lambda/S3 asset retrieval, and form processing. Deployed the apps to Vercel and Railway and delivered end-to-end features from implementation to production deployment.
