Led the migration of a legacy monolith into a cloud-native, microservices-based, multi-tenant SMS marketing platform. Built core services from the ground up and designed/operated a high-throughput messaging engine processing 1M+ messages per day with sustained peak throughput above 1,000 messages/sec. Contributed to architecture and design by implementing adaptive throughput control against external provider rate limits, priority-based dispatching, and retry mechanisms for failed deliveries. Implemented a hybrid communication model combining event-driven messaging (Pub/Sub) with the orchestration pattern (Netflix Conductor) to coordinate complex long-running workflows, including step-level state tracking, retries, and recovery from partial failures.
