Hi, I’m James Buchanan, a passionate filmmaker, storyteller, and digital project consultant based in Berlin. I love crafting engaging visual content, whether it’s documentary films, social media videos, or corporate production projects. With a background in contemporary dance and a deep understanding of creative processes, I bring a unique perspective to every project I take on.
I co-founded a boutique filmmaking collective and have been lucky enough to lead various creative projects across Europe. When I’m not behind the camera or in the editing suite, I enjoy facilitating workshops and helping communities express themselves through creative wellbeing initiatives.

Kamsler Family Foods is a family run startup in Wisconsin that makes authentic midwestern-style pickles and relishes, aimed at the millennial and Wholefoods marketplace. We were asked by one of their founders to come along to join a tasting day that they were hosting, and to bring all the gear that we could to create a commercial that communicated the spirit of their brand, all whilst nurturing a fun and relaxed atmosphere at the tasting itself for the founder and their friends!

Summit trailer for the Inner Development Goals flagship gathering in 2025. I edited this by sifting through a large library of footage and recordings from the previous summit, finding soundbites relevant for this years theme. I then constructed a story line, threaded it together with the text frames and found relevant stock footage!
