I’m Rodrigo Martínez Torres, a multidisciplinary music professional blending acoustic performance, electroacoustic composition, and sound design across concert works, film, dance, and multimedia installations. I’m currently pursuing an MFA in Sonic Practice at Dartmouth College, building a practice that fuses traditional composition with live electronics, field recordings, and algorithmic processes. My work has taken me from Mexico City to Dartmouth and Florence, including residencies at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and MacDowell, and collaborations with performers and studios around the world.     paper Onda tropical - concerto for accordion and concert band

    An original, three-movement concerto written for Diatonic Accordion and Concert Band.
    The band is inspired by Mexican Cumbia Sonidera, and it premiered at Jordan Hall, Boston, MA, in 2024.

    A rework of an original composition of mine. Originally composed for the symphony hall, this version was made in collaboration with La Coreñaera and Malphino, to bring my sounds to the dance floor.
