I am Salieu Suso, a master kora player and griot from the Gambia, West Africa. Born into a family of traditional musicians and historians, I was trained in the art of the kora by my father from a young age and have been performing across Africa, Europe, and the United States since my youth. I am passionate about preserving and sharing the Mandinka culture through music and history, and I continue to teach and inspire the next generation. Over the years, I have collaborated with a diverse range of artists and performed at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
