I am Allan Soberman, a singer/songwriter/musician and cantor’s son based in Toronto, Canada. I began my career as a bassist for various folk acts in Toronto during the early to mid-1970s and had the privilege of supporting Grammy-winning artists and Canadian stalwarts throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Over the years, my career has expanded to include record production, session vocals for commercials and records, and collaborations with talented songwriters in Nashville. My passion for music also ties deeply to my heritage; in 2001, I produced a contemporary Hebrew prayer CD as a tribute to my late father, which blends traditional melodies with a modern setting. I continue to create original music and am currently working on a one-man biographical musical show titled 'Searching for My Voice,' which explores my life story through song and will premiere in Toronto in June 2023.
