Hi, I'm Emma Hislop, a writer and educator deeply engaged in Māori storytelling and Indigenous literature. I enjoy working closely with communities and fostering creative talents, particularly through teaching online fiction workshops and mentoring emerging writers. My passion is to explore tradition and reinvention in storytelling, giving voice to diverse perspectives through various platforms. I've been fortunate to participate in numerous literary festivals, workshops, and mentoring programs, and to contribute to education magazines and radio book reviews. When I'm not mentoring or teaching, I’m involved in research projects that bring fresh insights into indigenous narratives, aiming to inspire both readers and writers alike.
