I am Dr. Alys Einion, a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the University of Dundee with a passion for women's health, midwifery, and inclusive education. I have extensive experience in research, teaching, and leadership particularly in the areas of decolonial clinical practice, healthcare leadership, and professional development in nursing and midwifery. As Editor-in-Chief of The Practising Midwife Journal, I lead on all editorial matters and contribute actively to advancing maternity care education and practice. My work reflects a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, which is also evident in my creation of the Inclusive Education Toolkit and my roles in university equality committees and LGBT+ networks.
