Hi, I’m Keith English, an animation director with almost three decades of experience spanning VFX, directing for film and music, character animation, and scriptwriting. I’ve collaborated with Film Festivals, Cartoon Network, Disney, and even James Cameron, and I’ve been commissioned to create an animated piece for a John Lasseter tribute. I’ve also animated a main character in Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell and worked on concept design and pre-visualization for Sony’s Fall From Grace. I’m passionate about turning sketches into living worlds and love mentoring others as they breathe life into polygons. Today I run Screaming Pixels, a boutique animation and design studio. My projects range from award-winning shorts like Around the Benz and Erin, Owen and the Loch Ness Monster to ambitious features such as Magik. I’ve taught animation at Stanford, UT Austin, and LLNL, and I’ve written Maya tutorials for Alias Wavefront at the launch of Maya. I’m excited to collaborate on new stories, bring inventive visuals to life, and share the joy of animation with audiences around the world.
