Designed a live captioning app with multi-modal transcription and an integrated ambient sound awareness panel, empowering users with hearing impairments to better navigate diverse environments. Led user interviews and usability tests, synthesized insights, and collaborated with engineers to refine and integrate the design into the existing design system. Worked closely with cross-functional teams including engineers and product managers to enhance accessibility and usability of the user-centered live captioning app. The product is estimated to launch in 2027 targeting over 50K+ users.

Rebuilt site map using open card sorting insights and validated it through tree testing. Simplified homepage, product menu, and product detail pages layout by removing redundant labels, enhancing hierarchy, and integrating filter functionality for easier flavor discovery. Refined visual design to improve clarity and engagement. Increased task success rate from 60% to 93% across usability tests for the scenario: navigating from homepage to selecting and adding specific ice cream flavors to cart.
