since joining Material in 2012, I have been creating the motion graphics used during the BAFTA Awards Scotland. Working with the wider design team at Material, i take the graphic assets used to create the programme, ticket etc to create the motion versions. This creates a large number of deliverables including a sting for each award, chirons, wipes, event intros and background holding loops.

I designed a concept in which the user is sat at a real round table within the Standard Life HQ in Edinburgh. The user then puts on the Meta Quest headset and is then taken to a virtual version of the room they are in. This then transitions into a digital world where we prime them on the experience ahead.
We then transport them into a hybrid environment. On one side they can see a customers flat, on the other they see the call centre. An agent and customer then engage in conversation – a reconstruction of a real traumatic event – they are both positioned on a side of the same table the user is at, who is a ‘fly on the wall’ in the conversation.
Due to the nature of the experience content, i cannot post it here for general viewing, I am happy to demo the experience for anyone considering a similar experience. View some other VR projects on my website :
Heineken are an industry leader in sustainability and have created a number of technological breakthroughs in their pursuit to make pubs more environmentally friendly. To help showcase these and provide pub landlords with information on what tech they can adopt into their establishments to make them more sustainable we created ‘Pub for the Future’
This is a completely designed in CGI pub with multiple locations that the user can visit, clicking on hot spots to reveal information on the technology highlighted.
I worked with a 3D artist and software developer to produce the visuals and the Unity based VR / Web GL app to run the experience.

UoS identified a need to stand out when it comes to foreign student recruitment. The Uni has a high intake from both the US and India I created a virtual guided tour of the campus, learning facilities and Glasgow attractions to help give prospective students a more immersive way to understand where they will hopefully call ‘home’ for the next 4-7 years if they choose to study at UoS. The Experience has been used widely at recruitment drives and there are plans to expand into other areas for the University.

I was tasked with building a micro-site to promote Star Wars in Concert at Glasgow SECC. (2010) As the only promoter to build their own dedicated site to promote and sell tickets, DF Concerts were able to announce a 2nd date for the shows. I created an interactive site which not only pushed ticket sales but made the process fun with motion, sound and video. more info and images of the project are at :
