Banyana Ba Style is a feature length documentary launched on NETFLIX in November 2023. The multi-generational story of women’s football in South Africa through the ambitious Mamelodi Sundowns FC. The film follows the team as they battle it out at the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Cairo.
The journey to the Olympic Games is not for the faint-hearted. It is said that only 1 in 500,000 ever make it to the games, and those who win even fewer. Between 2020 - 2023, our team followed and documented Chad le Clos. With over 60 hours of VHS home footage and trips that took our team from Turkey to Australia, The Commonwealth Wealth Games to Cape Town. ‘Born Racer’ is a film about family, about the bond between father and son and the unrelenting drive of an Olympic champion.
I was heavily involved in production towards the latter stages of production - being the on-the-ground cinematographer for the Commonwealth Games. I was then brought on as 1st Assistant Director as well as the film’s editor for the post-production phase of the project. This lead to a South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTA) nomination for Best Editing.
‘An Original Way’ is the 2025 annual brand film for Londolozi. Using a real multi-generational family, this film is a poignant and nostalgic theme built on care, values, and abundance. The slowing down of time, which is in stark contrast to the current global conversations about scarcity, progress and efficiency.
I was asked to be the editor on this piece to ensure that the sights, sounds, and emotions of a visit to this special place truly come through in the final film.
Local Cape Town bike brand, Rook, approached us to collaborate on a story-based piece that would set them apart from the other fixed gear bikes in the city. Deeply rooted in Cape Town bike culture and community, we set out to tell the story from the perspective of the riders who live and die by their love for the bike.
I was brought on as Director of Photographer/Cinematographer and assistant Creative Director for Post-Production

Learning Through Skin tells the story of up-and-coming tattoo artist James Probert as he enters the industry. Driven by a passion, James shares how he approaches his work at Palm Black Tattoos and ultimately leaves his mark on the industry.
This was a personal passion project of mine, which was executed during a summer holiday.
I was asked to bring to life the story for Supersport Schools, which was about the lesser-known Paarl school derby between Klein Nederberg Secondary School and New Orleans Secondary School - a rivalry built on passion and one that runs deep in the hearts of the local communities. Spending 3 days with the students, parents & local community members meant we could take a unique angle of telling the story through the voices of those most deeply invested in the derby. We shot key interviews & scenes with specific characters and produced a 10-minute short film that, we believe, strongly encapsulates not only the history of the rugby fixture but also the potential it has to gain more traction in the future.
