About

I’m Demetrios Loizides, a software engineering lead based in Nicosia, Cyprus, focused on designing and shipping scalable, secure full-stack systems. Over the years I’ve built cloud-native microservices and modern front ends using React/TypeScript and .NET, and I’ve also led teams with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and practical delivery across large-scale fintech and trading environments.

I currently lead backend engineering for ClearSkies™ at Odyssey Consultants—an AI-powered next-gen SIEM/TDIR platform—while mentoring engineers, driving architecture and security best practices, and optimizing performance. I enjoy working with agentic, AI-assisted development workflows (including Claude Code), and I’ve also delivered government and product modernization work using React, TypeScript, and CI/CD automation with thorough testing and observability. I’m open to remote work and love turning complex requirements into robust, maintainable systems.
