Scope:
The goal of this project was to propose a redesign of the Kinda website to make it more user-friendly and provide a smoother user flow. The redesign proposal was created for web, tablet, and mobile interfaces, allowing users to navigate on the devices that best suit their needs.
Technologies:
Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Environment:
As an e-commerce platform, the website design included features for purchasing and shipping operations.
Scope:
The goal of this project was to create a mobile application that allows users to purchase organic products tailored to the type and breed of their pets.
Technologies:
Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Environment:
I was responsible for conducting interviews, collecting and organizing data and feedback, creating paper and digital wireframes, prototyping low and high-fidelity designs, conducting usability tests, ensuring accessibility, and iterating on the designs.
I began the user research phase by developing an empathy map to understand the pain points users face when purchasing food for their pets. Next, I created personas, which helped me design the application for real users and scenarios. After defining user typology and requirements, I started sketching ideas by hand, brainstorming multiple variations without spending too much time on each. Once the most promising draft was selected, I moved on to creating low-fidelity designs and corresponding prototypes.
During this phase, I moderated usability tests, completing seven studies. The first round of tests helped me understand how users perceive the app’s flow, while the second round validated changes made based on user feedback. After these usability tests, adjustments were made, such as introducing a custom menu. Finally, I transitioned to the high-fidelity design phase.
Scope:
This design was requested by a group of DJs from central Portugal who wanted an app to promote their events and enable ticket sales through the platform.
Technologies:
Figma (main tool), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Jira
Environment:
In this project, my mission was to develop the User Research phase, during which I conducted market research and created personas to design the app tailored to the target audience. After gathering all the necessary data during the research phase, I moved on to creating low-fidelity wireframes and tested them with the client. Based on their feedback, I made the requested changes and advanced to the high-fidelity design phase.
In this stage, the designs received quick approval from the clients. I handed over the designs to the developers responsible for the app’s front-end and back-end development. We worked collaboratively throughout the process, making adjustments as necessary to deliver the best product aligned with the client’s needs.
Scope:
This design project emerged from the need for an application that would allow insurance companies to digitize all information related to claims in each process. The application enables tracking a claim from start to finish, including uploading information and media.
Technologies:
Figma (main tool), Adobe Photoshop, Miro, Typeform
Environment:
In this project, I was responsible for User Research, design, and user testing. After conducting several interviews with colleagues, I gathered notes and necessary feedback to proceed with creating the designs. To ensure the design was not only visually appealing but also functional, I based all designs on real-life stories from various insurance employees (claim openers, verification agents, and managers).
The design was created for both WEB and tablet versions, as these are the interfaces used for the digital product in question. One of the impactful improvements was the creation of an expandable form to reduce the amount of information displayed on the page, addressing a key pain point identified during the interviews. I used Photoshop to enhance some media assets, Figma as the design tool, and Miro to manage project tasks.
Scope:
This project is my most recent work, developed for an industrial maintenance company where I acted as an Independent Consultant specializing in UX/UI Design and Brand Design. The project involved creating an internal mobile application to centralize employee and equipment information and data in a single digital platform.
Technologies:
Figma (main tool), Adobe Illustrator, Jira, Typeform
Environment:
In this role, I conducted several meetings with the client and employees and visited the factory to understand the processes involved. The project required the development of a brand design and the UX/UI for the application, which was created in collaboration with two full-stack developers.
The project began with a brief provided by the client, which I further elaborated to identify key issues and define next steps. I facilitated user research, including market analysis and user profiling, followed by the creation of personas and conducting interviews with employees. After gathering insights, I began designing wireframes and testing the designs with the employees. Based on their feedback, I moved to the high-fidelity design and prototyping phase, which were refined through iterative testing with the client and their team. The project is currently in its delivery phase.
