Hello, my name is Valeria Jimenez, and I am a recent University graduate majoring in Studio Art at the University of Arizona. I have been a part of three local exhibitions, one of which was a collaboration, have done one long term sculptural exhibition at the Sculpture Tucson Gallery, and have designed and painted an 80ft long mural for a Covenant House for the elderly after winning the design competition for it. Despite my diverse experience in media, I focus more in 2D Illustration in charcoal, graphite, soft pastels, and other media. I always look forward to helping audiences relate, and be moved, by my art , especially with emotions that are usually hard to express in words. In addition, I am also an aspiring dancer with much dedication and love for the art. I practice everyday without fail, and am always looking for opportunities to expand on this passion. I would love to pursue it at a much higher level from which I could learn from, and meet, all kinds of great dancers found across the world. I am currently a dance captain in an Arizona based dance team called Cosmos S and was a part of the University of Arizona’s official Kpop dance team for 2 years.
