Hi, I’m Jorge Luis Muñoz Alegría. I hold a degree and a master’s degree in music from Universidad del Cauca and I’ve built a career teaching music in public schools across Cauca, Valle del Cauca, and Bolivar, focusing on high school students from vulnerable communities. I’m also an active composer and performer, having worked with folkloric and contemporary groups in Popayán and contributed to documentary music for projects like the Dialekta Foundation and Kollelei May. Beyond teaching, I direct ensembles, arrange works, and collaborate with fellow musicians on original productions. I’m passionate about sharing music education, creating opportunities for young people to develop their skills, and exploring new sounds through composition and performance.
