One of my standout projects is the self-produced track “Just To Be Safe,” released last spring. This song is a unique blend of R&B, soul, hip-hop, and gospel, showcasing my versatility and creativity in music production. Not only did I write, produce, and perform the track, but I also took on the role of the tracking engineer, ensuring that every element of the song met my vision. “Just To Be Safe” highlights my comprehensive skill set, from songwriting and production to performance and engineering, demonstrating my ability to create and deliver a fully realized and polished musical piece.

I had the privilege of serving as the tracking engineer for Tank on his feature for Jason Martin (formerly known as Problem) and Kaytranada. This project took place at Record Plant Studios, a renowned recording facility, where I meticulously recorded Tank’s vocals using an SSL board to ensure the highest quality sound. The track was officially released in December and has been well-received. This project highlights my expertise in engineering and tracking, demonstrating my ability to work with top-tier artists and producers to deliver exceptional recordings.

One of my notable projects was the creation of the hook for the platinum-selling song “Fly” by Nicki Minaj, featuring Rihanna. I had the opportunity to contribute my songwriting skills to this track while signed to a renowned publishing company, PG. Under the mentorship and collaboration of JR Rotem at Beluga Heights, I crafted the hook, which caught Nicki Minaj’s attention. Impressed by the lyrics and melody, Nicki chose to include the track on her album, with Rihanna delivering an incredible vocal performance. This collaboration not only exemplified my songwriting prowess but also contributed to the song’s success, achieving platinum status and garnering widespread acclaim.

Another significant project in my career is the placement of my song “Back to Me,” produced by E. Jones, in the TV show “The Chi.” This track was selected to be part of the show’s soundtrack and aired last summer. The inclusion of “Back to Me” in “The Chi” not only showcased my musical versatility but also demonstrated my ability to create emotionally resonant pieces that enhance the visual storytelling of a television series. The successful airing of this episode further solidified my skills in scoring and highlighted my capability to contribute meaningfully to diverse media projects.
