Fix You is an instrumental cover of an original song by Coldplay. The chords were created using the Soft Piano sound from LABS. The melody is created using a flute with the harmony being played on a trumpet. These two instruments complimented each other well and were great for the calm-sounding melody. Harp and Piccolo melodies were added in the last chorus to add to the layers of the song to create a full sound. All four instruments used in the melody are from Spitfire Audio’s BBC Symphony Orchestra plug-in. The string accompaniment was also created using Spitfire Audio’s BBC Symphony Orchestra plug-in. The violins, viola, cello, and double bass are all playing different elements of the chords played by the piano. These same instruments are then duplicated at the end playing spiccato notes. This is to allow this section to sound larger as if there is a full orchestra playing. A harp and celeste are also heard playing arpeggios to add to the atmosphere of the song. A violin playing a tremolo is heard in a few sections to add to the high frequencies in the song.
