John Koltai is a multidisciplinary Motion Designer and Director. After graduating with an MFA from Parsons School of Design, John soon began a career in New York City crafting high-end motion graphics for commercial, film, and broadcast clients. John's passion for film has led him to design cinematic opening titles for Marvel films “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Thor: Tales of Asgard,” and “Planet Hulk,” among others.  He created the holographic UI designs that appear in feature film hits such as “Iron Man 2,” “Iron Man 3,” “The Avengers,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Ant-Man,” “Thor: Ragnarok,” “Men In Black 3,” “RoboCop,” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” John has worked at leading design studios in both New York and Los Angeles including The Mill, Method Studios, MPC, Smoke & Mirrors, ESI, Loyal Kaspar, Leroy and Clarkson, Imaginary Forces, Perception, Cantina Creative, Mixtape Club, and Blue Sky Studios. He has had work featured in leading industry outlets such as Motionographer, STASH Magazine, Gizmodo, Promax/BDA, Pushing Pixels, Communication Arts, and Create Magazine. John was also the lead motion design director at Blue Sky Studios on their latest feature “Spies In Disguise,” Art Director/Episode Lead on the Netflix show “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj,” and Art Director at Scarab Digital.
