DevOps engineer responsible for maintaining a Spring Boot 1.5 and Java 8 system that collected trades from brokers and published them to Active MQ. Other Spring Boot services retrieved trades from Active MQ and recorded them in a third-party trade repository. Worked with Apache Camel and QuickFIX/J to route and process FIX messages; PostgreSQL used for data storage. Also maintained a Spring Boot system that retrieved trades from a third-party SFTP server, generated reports, and reconciled data using the OpenCSV library. Hosted source code on a self-managed Bonobo Git server, with Jenkins configured to trigger builds on new code pushes, and Nexus used for artifact management. Deployed services on Kubernetes and verified their status and logs after deployment to ensure they were running properly.

Software Engineer at Arena Banking

Developed logic to verify customer eligibility for purchasing specific investment products in a system used by one of the largest European banks. The system was built with Java 8, Spring Boot, and Ext.js, ran in Docker containers, and used an Oracle database for data storage. Improved an old Java 6 system by converting some single-threaded functionality into multithreaded code using the synchronized keyword and the Java Lock API.
